In the orthographic memory and spelling exercise, we will work on memorizing words. We’ll use common words in order to streamline the reading process.
The individual loads the program on their screen and places the markers so that the screen is in the middle of the figure-of-eight. They choose common words, which are inserted into the program’s texts.

To start, press the Hide Letters button on the keyboard on the upper-right corner. You can decide how many letters you wish to remove to begin with, and press the corresponding number among those that appear on the bottom-right corner of the screen.
It’s possible to start by removing only one letter. You can choose the speed between one word and the next by using the slider on the screen.
You press the “play” button and start to walk the figure-of-eight in front of the screen. While walking, you read the word that appears on the screen and commit it to memory. When a letter disappears from the screen, you have to say which letter is missing. The process stays the same for the next words. Watch the video Operating the Raviv computer software for further explanation.
As we improve, we can begin to remove more letters by pressing the number of letters we wish to remove. We can also increase the speed between words. The program also allows you to upload texts and words that you wish to practice.
We can also practice word memory while reading the words. This exercise can help by allowing us to hear and see the words simultaneously by pressing narrate.
